Let's talk robotics with Professor Jeannie Marie Paterson

Jeannie Marie Paterson is a Professor of Law at The University of Melbourne. Jeannie specialises in the areas of contracts and consumer protection, along with the law of emerging technologies.

Jeannie is the co-director of the Centre for AI and Digital Ethics, a collaborative, interdisciplinary research, teaching and policy centre at the University of Melbourne involving the faculties of Engineering and Information Technology, Law, Arts and Science.

Jeannie holds a current legal practicing certificate and regularly consults to government and not-for-profit organisations, as well as speaking regularly on issues around AI, ethics and consumer protection. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law. She is a member of the academic steering committees of the Minderoo Tech and Policy Lab (UWA), Cyber Security CRC (Canberra) and the Australian Society for Computers and the Law. She is an academic editor of the Australian Journal of Business Law and the Journal for Law, Technology and Humans.
