Let's talk robotics with Gail Bray

Eps 9: In today’s episode I talk to the director of Wyndham Tech School, Gail Bray. In her role Gail works with their partner secondary schools in Wyndham and Hobsons Bay to connect them with futuristic technologies and training that will prepare students for the jobs of the future.

Having worked in a corporate environment before joining the tech school, Gail brings a wealth of experience to her role. Being part of the 10 tech schools in Victoria, the Directors regularly meet to collaborate and leverage of each other learnings. Gail is very enthusiastic about our youth - recognising their adaptability and fearlessness! Communication skills are important going forward - we can teach technical skills but we can’t teach curiosity, good communication and drive!

Gail’s credo is “I don’t have all the answers” - but trust your instinct and don’t fear failure! Take risks and that’s where the magic happens!

Gail was also a co-chair on the Education workshop for the robotics roadmap for Australia 2020.
